Fear is a relative thing. We make our best effort to get everybody but we also try to make sure that if you don’t get scared you will still have fun by providing detailed sets, engaging characters, and thematic story telling. If you don’t scare easily, bring people with you that do. Half the fun is hearing your friends scream.
Yes. The ticket booth stays open until the advertised time. The attraction stays open until all ticket holders have gone through the haunt.
Your wait will be shorter early in the season and on the Sundays and weeknights we are open. Arriving as we open can give you a place close to the front of the line. The last hour of any given night is usual a good time to minimize your wait as the crowds tend to thin near closing time.
A Fast Pass allows you to skip the general admission queue line and greatly reduce your wait. Fast Passes are popular on Friday and Saturday nights, especially later in the season. You may purchase a Fast Pass at the ticket booth when you arrive or on our web site. There are a limited number of Fast Passes available each night.
A Season Pass enables you to visit as many nights as you dare during the season. It also includes our themed seasonal events such as Haunted Holidays and Valentines Fate.
A Flex Ticket may be redeemed on any one night FrightWorks is open during the season.
A Dated Ticket must be redeemed on the specific date that you choose when you purchase your ticket. It is less expensive than a Flex Ticket.
While the inhabitants of the attraction will never purposely grab or restrain the patrons, you may encounter more subtly or indirect touch, and who knows what you will bump into in the darker areas. There are moving props and animatronics that you may come in contact with.
Sometimes plans change. If you are unable to make it the night of your ticket, please drop us an e-mail and we will change your ticket to another night. If you can’t make it any nights of the event, please remember that we host events throughout the year and will be happy to honor your ticket then. If a refund is requested and approved, please keep in mind that there is a $5 service charge.
The travel time though the attraction will vary depending on the pace of your group but typically takes about 20 minutes. If your group is moving slowly and the group behind you catches up, feel free to offer to let them pass. If you catch up to a group, slow your pace, or ask if you may pass.
While our attraction is not recommended for young children, we leave this decision to the parent or guardian. Keep in mind that we do not tone down the show if a child is in your group. We do not allow children to be forced to enter the attraction against their will. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Carried infants/toddlers are not allowed for safety reasons. Ticket price is the same regardless of age.
We try to limit groups to no more than 6 people to ensure a good show. There is a maximum group size of 8 to ensure safety. We try not to mix groups together but may put smaller groups of 2 or 3 together when we are busy.
Participation at FrightWorks is not recommended for those who have heart conditions, are pregnant, have asthma, are epileptic, or have other physical or mental health conditions that could be aggravated by a frightening environment. Stobe lights and fog machines are in use.
Notify an actor that you do not wish to continue. They will pull you aside and call for an manager to escort you out who will then proceed to make fun of you in front of your friends.
No. You paid us to scare you, and that’s what we did.
We have a gift shop that offers pre-packaged food and drink such as chips, soda, and candy. We may host food trucks on some nights. Several restaurants are located nearby such as Bojangels, Dominoes Pizza, Culver’s, Aubrey’s, Wild Wing Cafe, and Freddy’s.
Food and drinks may be enjoyed in the outside areas but are not allowed inside the haunted house.
You will be having a very intimate conversation with the police officer on site.
We make every effort to make our attractions handicap accessible and have visitors in wheelchairs every year. There may be a scene or two that a person in a wheelchair will need to bypass. Because of the nature of the event, crutches are not allowed in the attraction.
Many guests visit FrightWorks on their way to or coming from a costume event. Costumes are welcome but masks covering the face are not allowed. Please leave any loose accessories/props in your car.
With case numbers down in the area, we are not requiring any specific measures from our guests. Hand sanitizing and social distancing are recommended. Please do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or the flu, or have had recent exposure.
FrightWorks is always on the lookout for talented people to join our Fright Crew. Take a moment to apply here, and we will follow up with details about getting involved with FrightWorks.
Yes, FrightWorks is great for group outings for clubs, teams, and other organizations. We offer group discount rates for large groups. Please visit our Group Rates page for details.
The building FrightWorks currently occupies has been sold to a new buyer, and the current owner wants to deliver the building tenant-free.
While this is not ideal, especially this close to October, we have reached an agreement with the landlord that allows us to remain long enough to hold one final weekend of shows before moving out by July 31.
We hope not.
Right now, the future of FrightWorks is unclear, but we are actively looking for opportunities. It would be amazing to find a new home and reopen this October, but for that to happen, the right location, funding, approvals, and timing would all need to fall into place very quickly.
Even if we are unable to open this October, our goal is to protect as much of FrightWorks as possible while we search for the next path forward.
We are opening for one last weekend at our current location:
Friday, July 10, 6PM-9PM — No-Actor Walkthrough
A special no-actor experience where guests can take their time, enjoy the atmosphere, take photos, and say goodbye to the haunt as it stands today.
Saturday, July 11, 7PM-11PM — Final Full FrightWorks Show
One last full FrightWorks show at our current location, with actors, scares, and the energy our guests know and love.
Yes. Our season pass holders have been some of our most loyal and dedicated supporters, and season passes will be honored for the final shows at our current location.
That said, we know many of you may choose to purchase a ticket, support the FrightWorks Moving Fund, or help in another way to support the future of FrightWorks. Any additional support is deeply appreciated, but not required.
If you have a valid season pass, you are welcome to use it.
The best way to help right now is to purchase a ticket to one of our final shows.
Your support helps us raise the money needed to dismantle, move, store, and hopefully reopen FrightWorks in some form.
If you are unable to attend but still want to help, you can support the FrightWorks Moving Fund. Every bit of support helps us move forward.
Yes.
If you know of a facility that could host a haunted house, or other spooky themed attraction, especially if you have a building ready and waiting for something like FrightWorks, please let us know.
A suitable location would need enough space for a haunted attraction, parking, guest flow, storage, and the necessary approvals to operate safely.
Please follow FrightWorks on social media and check this website for updates. We will share new information as soon as we have it.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and all the years of screams, memories, and nightmares.
